SATURDAY PLANS: Cowboy Gathering Brings Western Music, Poetry to Waxahachie
Looking for something different to do this Saturday? The 5th Annual Waxahachie Cowboy Gathering is back, bringing a full day of Western culture to the heart of town.
The free event takes place April 18 at the Nicholas P. Sims Library, with activities running throughout the day.
Visitors can expect live cowboy poetry, Western music, and family-friendly fun, including a Kids Corral. Organizers say the event is all about celebrating Texas heritage in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Schedule highlights:
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Kids’ activities hosted by Friends of Sims Library
12 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Live performances in the Lyceum (2nd floor), featuring:
