According to the City of Waxahachie, the Streets Department will start work Monday, June 15, in the downtown area. The project includes fresh striping for parking spaces, crosswalks, stop bars, fire lanes and no-parking zones. Some parking areas may be temporarily closed while the striping material dries. Drivers are asked to watch for signs, slow down and use caution while traveling through downtown. The work is weather-dependent, so the schedule could shift if rain moves in. The restriping follows road work completed last week in downtown Waxahachie.
