The two-day inspection wrapped up today with a final review between the state inspector, Ellis County Sheriff’s Office jail leadership and county officials. Norman said the jail “passed with flying colors” and thanked detention officers, supervisors and administrative staff for their work. The inspection reviews jail operations and compliance with state standards. According to the Sheriff’s Office, no problems or findings were reported.
