The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the person’s identity. Investigators are also coordinating with Waxahachie police and the family of an adult man who was previously reported missing. Officials acknowledged social media posts connecting the missing-person case to the discovery but stressed that no connection has been confirmed. “Until a positive identification is made, we will not speculate regarding the identity of the deceased,” the Sheriff’s Office said. Additional information is expected after the medical examiner confirms the identity and the person’s family has been notified.
