Classic Cars, Collectibles and a Reopened Trail: Saturday in Waxahachie

Looking for Saturday plans in Waxahachie? You’ve got options.
*The Gingerbread Trail Car Show* returns to Getzendaner Park this Saturday, June 13th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing classic cars, trucks, bikes and tractors to one of Waxahachie’s favorite parks. Hosted by the Midlothian Classic Wheels Car Club, the family-friendly event includes awards, door prizes, a kids coloring contest and more. Proceeds benefit the Ellis County Museum, and spectator admission is free. Later in the day, *Trainer Junction* takes over Railyard Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, hosted by Quokimbo Ventures, will feature sports cards, collectibles, comics, gaming items, toys, local vendors, food trucks, stage performances and more. Whether you’re a serious collector or just want to browse, admission is also free. And there’s more good news for anyone wanting to get outside: the *Waxahachie Creek Hike & Bike Trail is now open* again after storm-related flooding and debris had temporarily closed a section of the trail.
