Maypearl Daycare Worker Charged After Allegedly Biting 3-Year-Old
A Maypearl daycare worker has been charged with a felony after police say she bit a 3-year-old boy in retaliation when the child bit another student.
54-year-old Elisha Daniel turned herself in to the Ellis County Jail last week on a felony charge of injury to a child. The incident happened in October at Little Angels of Maypearl Daycare.
Police say surveillance video shows Daniel grabbing the child by the arm, pulling him toward her, and biting him. Officers said the child’s face clearly showed pain and distress in the footage.
Daniel was fired from the daycare and has not been in contact with the facility since, according to Little Angels of Maypearl.
Daniel has since been released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
