Ennis Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole in Child Sexual Abuse Case
Brandon Kyle Longoria, 32, of Ennis, was sentenced to life in prison without parole on June 9, 2026, after jurors deliberated for about 40 minutes, according to the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office.
Longoria pleaded guilty to Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child. His trial began June 8.
The case began when an Ellis County Sheriff’s Office investigator received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip involved a Meta user in Ennis suspected of uploading and downloading child sexual abuse material.
Investigators later connected the account to Longoria. Prosecutors said Longoria used Facebook and Google to download images and videos. He initially denied accessing the material, but later admitted to it. He was arrested in February, 2025.
After Longoria refused consent to search his phone, investigators obtained a search warrant. The search revealed a large amount of child sexual abuse material, along with evidence tied to the abuse of a child.
Longoria’s ex-wife, Jessica Kerr, testified during the trial. Prosecutors said she had been fighting for custody of the children, but Longoria had been allowed supervised visitation. The abuse happened during those visits, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
