Italy Police identified the suspect as Sergio Torres-Luna. The alleged offense happened in April 2026 and involved a juvenile family member, according to police. Investigators said Torres-Luna fled to Canada, but later returned to the United States. Italy PD worked with state and federal agencies to track him down.
